This warrior-woman is no shrinking violet! She steps forward without apology, powerful and self-possessed…a woman of today, emerging from the constraints of the past, with a little attitude in her stance. If the figure was male, he would carry a sword (to pierce) and a shield (to protect). Instead she carries fire to light the darkness and a wildly-colored vagina to take in the world...from which future humanity will emerge. Menstrual blood that makes procreation possible drips from above. She steps forward, a product of the land that is seen behind her. Note the “frame” that is an homage to the great Alphons Mucha, and the “fabric," an homage to the equally great Gustave Klimpt.
